The first jet fighter flying again

A US group called the Stormbirds is assembling five new Me 262's to the specifications of the originals. Improvements for safety and reliability are hidden from the outside. Recently the second flying Me 262 took to the skies over Germany. Link from my brother Jim. The ME 262 Project.

"Constant bearing, range rapidly decreasing!"

A complete Cold War naval wargame system is available for download as freeware. If you have the printing skills and time this is a fantastic value and site.

One interesting thing about the late 70's and 80's was the overall over estimates of the Soviet Union's military. This was reflected in most of the American wargames of the period. It is not that obvious in my brief playing of the original version of this game at San Jacinto College board game night this last Saturday. In the mid to early 70's there was also the dimissal of the power of missiles against ships in most games which Modern Naval Battles and Harpoon corrected.

In converting to freeware the rules have had minor updates, mainly spelling corrections and more ships available. The name of the game(s) has been changed to Cold War Naval Battles.
